Festival Accolades

— Mr. Frank Mazzeo, Marching Band Director

I have been receiving accolades upon accolades regarding our festival. The evaluations from the Directors have come in with all 5 out of 5's of the ones I have received. The Directors and Parents that I spoke to went on about how kind our parents are.

As I left the field today after an awesome week of rehearsals and reflected on the great job our kids are doing and the way the entire organization was represented last Saturday night I truly am very proud of the Pennsbury Instrumental Community. Thank you to all of you who were involved with the Festival and a very special thanks to Dave Willard.

Please come out and see the kids. They have really improved this week. The show is exciting and there are moments that the only word that comes to mind are ridiculous! You cannot take this show in in one viewing!

Thank you,
Mr. Mazzeo

2009 — A Diamond Year

2009 marks the 60th Anniversary of the Pennsbury Marching Band "Long Orange Line". A 60th Anniversary is also referred to as the "Diamond Anniversary."

The word diamond comes from the Greek word "adamas" (αδάμας), which means unalterable and invincible. Diamonds are renowned for their superlative physical qualities, most of which originate from their strong atomic bonding. A diamond's remarkable optical dispersion results in its characteristic luster. Excellent optical and mechanical properties make the diamond the most popular gemstone.
