INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC

5 Periods  1 Year  1.0 unit   Grade 10th, 11th, and 12th

    This course is designed for all 10th, 11th, and 12th grade brass, woodwind, and percussion students who are interested who wish to develop their ability to perform instrumental music.  Included are studies in instrumental technique, music reading, expressive playing, critical listening, diverse instrumental literature, and performance skills.  Students are required to schedule and attend 3 lessons per quarter and all performances are mandatory.

Membership in the Concert Band is a prerequisite for participation in the Bucks County Music Festival, the Bucks County Youth Orchestra, the Pennsylvania Music Educators’ District, Regional, All-State Band and Orchestra, the Pennsbury High School Marching Band,  Pennsbury High School Lab Band, Pennsbury Concert Jazz Band, and Pennsylvania Music Educators All-State Jazz Band.
