Marching Band
"The Long Orange
Line"

The
Pennsbury Marching Band is internationally recognized as
one of the premier High School Marching Bands in the
United States. In March of 2008 the “Long Orange Line”
was the featured halftime performers at the
International Rugby Tournament “Hong Kong Sevens” in
Hong Kong China. The Hong Kong Sevens was the Long
Orange Line’s largest audience performance with 40,000
people live and 50 million people via television. The
Long Orange Line has the distinction of being the only
Band on the planet to have performed at all five Walt
Disney Theme Parks including Orlando, Florida; Anaheim,
California; Tokyo, Japan; Paris, France; and Hong Kong,
China.
The band
has the honor of being the only foreign musical ensemble
to perform at Beijing's Tiananmen Square, and also upon
the Great Wall in the People’s Republic of China.
The Pennsbury Marching Band has been an
integral part of the Pennsbury Instrumental Music
Program since its inception in 1949.
The Pennsbury Marching Band
has performed for numerous events for the Philadelphia
Phillies, Eagles, and 76ers. The Long Orange Line on
Thanksgiving Day, 2008 will have performed for 25
consecutive years as the Honor Band for the Boscov’s
Channel 6, Thanksgiving Day Parade. The Pennsbury
Marching Band is the current United States Scholastic
Band Association Group VI A first place All-States
Champions.
The 2008-2009
Pennsbury Marching Band “Long Orange Line” Officers
are Band Captain, Matt Adler; Band Front Captain,
Carrie Oechle; Drum Line Captain, Pam Carmasine; Pit
Captain, Tyler Mangiaracina; Band
Lieutenant, Carolyn Fox; Band Front Lieutenant, Anna
Ballerini; Band Sergeants: Katherine Hangeland, Chad
Willard, Zach Greenfield; Band Front Sergeant,
Charlotte Joseph; the Corporals are: Adam
Greenfield, Zach Gursky, Shauna Sutherson, Sabrina
Herbst, Michelle LaRaia and Rob Algazi. The
2008-2009 Pennsbury Marching Band section
leaders are: Amy Lynes, Andrea Curran, Dylan Principi, Sara
Burgos, Rich Beem, Jake Wilson, Emily Hooven, Laura
Metzler, Ben Lupinacci, Kyle Ennis, and Alex Bensch.
The Pennsbury Marching Band is under the field
Direction of Drum Major Jonah Lustig and Assistant
Drum Major Allie LeCavalier.
Mr. Lou Randazzo is
the Marching and Maneuvering Coordinator, Mr. Alan
Price is the Marching Technician, and the field show
was designed by Mr. Robert Gupta. The Associate
Director is Mr. Mark Capriotti and the Director of
the Pennsbury Marching Band is Mr. Frank Mazzeo.
