TO ALL PENNSBURY BAND STUDENTS/PARENTS:

Reminder - There will be a meeting regarding the proposed trip to London on Monday, November 3, 2008 at 7:00pm in the auditorium at PHS East.  A representative from the official parade travel agency will be at the meeting to provide a general overview of the trip and to answer many of your questions.  Details will be discussed that are important to your consideration and future vote on the trip.

We are asking that all boosters and potential future boosters with students in 8th – 11th grade who are even remotely considering being in the band next year to attend this very important meeting.

Thank you,
Executive Board

TO ALL PENNSBURY BAND STUDENTS/PARENTS:

Calling all band families.  Your help is needed to make the 8th Annual Pennsbury Marching Band Festival a success.  Each year, the marching band festival is the biggest fundraising event the band undertakes and it truly takes 100% participation by all band families to make it a success.  For those who have already volunteered, thank you.  You will be hearing from the chair of the committee you signed up for shortly.

For those who have not yet volunteered to help with the festival, we really need your help!  Please look at the list below and respond to this e-mail with your choice of committee(s) you would like to help with at the festival.  Remember, the involvement of all band families is necessary to make the evening a success.

Thanks to everyone for your help!  It is greatly appreciated.

TO ALL PENNSBURY BAND STUDENTS/PARENTS:

The 2008-2009 season is here and starting on Monday, 8/18/08, with the Marching Band Summer Camp.  The Street Beat Newsletter is published on the Website http://pennsburybands.org/newsletter.htm.  Please be sure to read the Newsletter as it has important information for new band members and their parents.  Letters from the school district's Instrumental Music Coordinator, the President of the Boosters, the Band director and articles on fundraising, uniforms and upcoming events are in the Street Beat Newsletter.  The Newsletter is no longer being sent by mail; it can be found on the website http://pennsburybands.org/newsletter.htm and, if desired, it can easily be printed.

Your complete source of information is the Pennsbury Instrumental Music Website at http://pennsburybands.org.  It is updated daily and contains vital information on upcoming events. It is very important for
Parents and Students to check the website regularly.  All events dates, times
and locations are listed on the website.  It also includes the schedule of
Boosters meetings http://pennsburybands.org/fundraising.htm, the marching band schedule http://pennsburybands.org/marching_band.htm  and all other band schedules. Also listed on the website are the band's Rules and Regulations  http://pennsburybands.org/mb_rules.htm which includes attendance rules, a section for information for parents, performance days, preparation for practice, discipline, summer sectionals and band front practice. You will also find on the Pennsbury Instrumental Music Website information on all the district's bands and their history, fun facts and pictures that will be posted regularly and can be purchased for $1 each.

We are looking forward to seeing you at our monthly Boosters meetings, all of
the football games, the annual picnic, October 11th at the Eight Annual Pennsbury Marching Band Festival and our many other exciting events.
